Last week, I was writing about the possible calories in banana and on that post, I made a remarkable and scholarly explanations about the various calories in banana. On today’s post, i’ll be writing on the various banana dietary fiber.

What is a Banana

Banana is a fruit usually yellow when ripe which can be consumed raw without being cooked. One can decide to consume banana alone or add something to make it more tasty. I usually add groundnut to banana when eating it and the two combinations gives me the exact test I want.

It has been proven scientifically and otherwise that banana is very good for the health because of its high fiber content coupled with the fact that its helps to reduce high blood pressure and that of cancer etc. One thing which is known about banana it is the fact that it is the most consumed fruit in the whole world.

The rich potassium and high fiber content of banana reduces the risk of kidney stone. It is important to know that a medium seized banana has about 422 milligrams of potassium. Unlike Ber Fruit which is not good to be eaten by pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, eating banana is good during pregnancy.

Banana Dietary Fiber

One thing about fiber is the fact that it is very important to health for proper digestion. If you are good with eating fiber contents foods and fruits coupled with drinking lots of water afterwards, your stool will be very soft that you don’t have to struggle in the toilet. Again, fiber promote a distinct amount of weight loss. Above all, women are supposed to consume at least 25 grams of fiber while men consume about 30 grams of fiber daily.

Number Of Dietary Fiber In Banana is about 3.1 grams of fiber. For a medium sized banana, you will find about 3.1 – 2.6 on it. Depending on the size and grams of the banana. Remember that the best thing you can do for yourself is to eat banana. If not for anything, eat it for the high fiber and potassium content on it. Whenever I want to eat banana I usually do it at night so has to use it for dinner.
